Summer started with me getting married in CRETE…so honestly, where was it supposed to go from there?😂 After our Greece + Istanbul honeymoon, I came home with a very specific goal for the rest of the season: LIVE LIFE LIKE YOU’RE ON VACATION. aka: Empty Nester Summer Camp at the Jersey Shore. And somehow we really committed to the assignment. There was SUP, beach hooky with friends, live music, a Suite Life night at MetLife for Bruno Mars, and bonding with basically the entire planet over the World Cup. I saw the Tall Ships for America’s 250th, helped Lucy move into her SF apartment—with plenty of “research” around the city, obviously—hit all the Jersey Shore bars I’m theoretically too old for (and fully intend to still be visiting at 90), and hosted Delaney + friends with a Summer Spritz Bar. There were puppy snuggles while volunteering at Rescue Ridge, lots of friends coming through, we were hosted for a golf-centric Four Seasons NYC staycation where Brian got to golf with THE Tiger Woods (!!), and yes…even a Mom Juice “Julie” flavor sighting. And now we’re getting ready to finally celebrate our marriage with friends at our yacht club for our Happily Ever…After Party! Luckily, here at the Jersey Shore, we all agree summer isn’t actually over. September = LOCAL SUMMER, and I plan to squeeze every last drop out of it. And yes, I DID work in between all this play😂 That update is coming next.
